BUSINESS TAX SPECIALIST SAN ANTONIO, TX 78216 JOB SUMMARY

In this role, you will prepare and review complex business and individual tax returns while helping clients remain compliant with federal and state tax regulations. The Enrolled Agent (EA)

•Business Tax Specialist supports business owners, entrepreneurs, and individual taxpayers by delivering accurate tax preparation, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and assisting with IRS compliance and tax resolution matters. This position plays a vital role in providing exceptional client service while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.

BUSINESS TAX SPECIALIST DUTIES

Prepare federal and state business tax returns for S-Corporations (Form 1120-S), C-Corporations (Form 1120), and Partnerships (Form 1065). Prepare individual income tax returns, including clients with Schedule C business income. Review financial records, accounting reports, and supporting documentation to ensure complete and accurate tax filings. Identify tax planning opportunities, deductions, and compliance issues while providing proactive recommendations to clients. Communicate directly with business owners and clients regarding tax questions, missing documentation, and filing requirements. Assist with IRS tax resolution matters by organizing documentation, preparing financial analyses, and supporting client case files. Maintain accurate electronic tax files while ensuring compliance with IRS regulations, filing deadlines, and internal quality standards.

BUSINESS TAX SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED:

Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to reliably commute to work. Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements, which may include a criminal background check and drug test. Active Enrolled Agent (EA) credential required. Minimum of three (3) years of professional tax preparation experience. Experience preparing business tax returns for S-Corporations, C-Corporations, and Partnerships. Experience preparing individual tax returns, including Schedule C businesses. Working knowledge of IRS tax regulations, tax compliance, and filing procedures. Experience using professional tax preparation software. Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional accuracy.

PREFERRED

Experience representing clients before the IRS. Experience supporting tax resolution engagements. Bookkeeping or accounting experience. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Bilingual English/Spanish.
