  • $100,000 a year 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication English Chinese Full Job Description J&E Tax and Finance is seeking an experienced Tax Professional (CPA or Enrolled Agent) to join our growing team in Bellevue, Washington.
This position is ideal for an experienced tax professional with a strong foundation in U.S. taxation and accounting who is comfortable handling both business and individual tax returns. The role will also provide opportunities to work with high-net-worth individuals, business owners, executives, and cross-border families on more advanced tax and wealth planning matters. We are looking for more than a Tax Preparer. We are seeking a professional who wants to build a long-term career in Tax & Wealth Planning. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have:
  • Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) credential
  • Minimum 3 years of U.S. tax experience
  • Strong accounting and tax knowledge, including the ability to read and understand financial statements
  • Solid understanding of U.S. federal and state tax filing requirements
  • Ability to independently manage client engagements and complete tax projects with limited supervision
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and professional judgment
  • Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to research and resolve complex tax issues
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is required
  • Experience working with high-net-worth, cross-border, or international tax clients is highly preferred Business Tax Experience Candidates should be able to independently prepare and/or review moderately complex business tax returns, including:
  • C Corporations
  • Form 1120
  • S Corporations
  • Form 1120-S
  • Partnerships
  • Form 1065 The candidate should be comfortable reviewing financial statements and accounting records, making appropriate tax adjustments, reconciling tax-related items, and identifying issues requiring additional tax research or planning.
Individual Tax Experience Candidates should be able to independently prepare and/or review moderately complex Individual Income Tax Returns (Form 1040) involving areas such as:
  • Stocks, securities, and investment income
  • K-1 income
  • Rental properties and real estate investments
  • Foreign financial assets and foreign accounts
  • FBAR and FATCA reporting
  • Foreign gifts and related reporting requirements
  • U.S. gifts and gift tax reporting Experience with the following forms is highly preferred: Forms 3520, 8938, 5471, 8621, and 709 Additional experience with international tax compliance and cross-border reporting is a plus. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and file individual and business tax returns
  • Communicate directly with clients to collect and analyze tax and financial information
  • Review financial statements and supporting accounting records
  • Research and resolve complex federal, state, and international tax matters
  • Identify potential tax planning opportunities during the tax preparation and review process
  • Assist Senior Professionals with tax planning and client advisory services
  • Participate in comprehensive planning engagements for high-net-worth families, business owners, executives, and cross-border clients
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely completion of client engagements
  • Stay current on relevant changes in federal and state tax laws and regulations
