is growing, and we're looking for an Experienced Associate to join our team in Waukesha. This role is designed for someone with public accounting experience who wants broader responsibility, direct client exposure, and the opportunity to develop quickly in a growing firm. You'll work with experienced team members on business and individual client engagements involving tax compliance, planning, and advisory work. The role is important to keeping engagements organized, client communications timely, and work moving efficiently from onboarding through completion. Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and analyze client accounting records and year-end workpapers for tax engagements
  • Prepare individual and business income tax returns and related workpapers
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding information requests, open items, and routine questions
  • Assist with tax planning, research, and special projects
  • Support efficient onboarding and transition of new clients
  • Work closely with Seniors and Managers to complete engagements accurately and on time
  • Develop technical, client-service, and project-management skills for advancement within the firm Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of recent public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience preparing individual and/or business income tax returns
  • General understanding of accounting and tax principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stay organized, manage deadlines, and follow through on client requests
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus Compensation & Benefits
Salary:

$70,000 - $90,000, commensurate with experience

    Bonus:

    Performance-based bonus opportunity
