Job Description
We are looking for a Tax Staff team member to join a public accounting team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role supports a broad range of tax and financial service engagements for businesses, individuals, trusts, and estates while contributing to high-quality client service. The position is well suited for an accounting team member who enjoys balancing tax compliance work with client support, financial statement preparation, and ongoing technical growth.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax filings for individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates with accuracy and attention to deadlines.
- Support the development of tax forecasts and estimated payment calculations by gathering financial data and assisting with analysis.
- Investigate tax notices, draft responses, and work with internal team members to help resolve client tax matters efficiently.
- Assist in compiling and reviewing financial statements for privately held companies in accordance with firm standards.
- Contribute to tax planning and advisory projects by organizing information, researching issues, and helping identify practical solutions for clients.
- Strengthen technical accounting and tax knowledge through continued learning, training participation, and hands-on engagement work.
- Represent the firm in recruiting efforts by participating in candidate outreach, events, and relationship-building activities.
- Engage in industry associations and community events to support firm visibility and develop local business connections.
