Job Description

Connections Credit Union is looking for a full-time Resolutions Specialist for our Oak branch in Pocatello. Role:
To preserve the credit union's assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and/or recovering collateral. The mission of the

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Contacts delinquent accounts by phone and mail; takes appropriate action to resolve the delinquency. Prepare and file necessary legal documents. Work with retained counsel as needed. Analyzes financial situation of delinquent borrowers. Repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful. Maintains accurate files and reports on all collections activity and maintains accurate reporting on credit bureaus. Informs Manager of trends in loan underwriting contributing to delinquent/charged-off loans and aiding in other assigned tasks. Perform other work related duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
One year or more of collections, related legal experience and bankruptcies. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required Ability to demonstrate confidentiality in regards to member accounts and sensitive information High School Graduate or GED Must be bondable
Interpersonal Skills:
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication
Other Skills:
Understand laws and regulations related to collections and bankruptcy. Possess good listening and people skills. Ability to objectively evaluate a member's situation in relation to the overall needs of the credit union.
Physical Requirements:
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Schedule:
Monday•Friday / 8:30am•5:30pm
Pay:
$19.50•29.00 per hour DOE QTRLY and Annual incentives if eligible
