The Prince George's County Department of Social Services is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Fiscal Clerk ( Community Developer 1G) position grade G18 within its Child Adult Family Services Division. About the Position This is entry level professional work in the areas of (1) community liaison/development/advocacy or (2) social services work among client populations (e.g., youth, aged, community action, housing development, health, etc.). Incumbents participate in the collection, analysis and summarization of data relating to the administration of the program to which assigned. Work is performed under close supervision of a higher-level Community Developer or other supervisory position. Work performance is evaluated in terms of accuracy and compliance with established guidelines and procedures. About The Agency The Prince George's County Department of Social Services is in the business of providing opportunities for residents of the County to become independent, responsible and stable members of the community. We do this by providing intervention services that strengthen families, protect children and vulnerable adults, encourage self-sufficiency and promote personal responsibility. We assist our customers through such programs as Temporary Cash Assistance, Food Supplement Program, Medical Assistance, Emergency Assistance, and Foster Care and Adoption Service. Review and analyze invoices for accurate reconciliation. Process daycare, mentoring, tutoring, transportation, and kinship reimbursement invoices and receipts timely and accurately. Daycare processing- average 50 children served per month, submission volume varies, depending on whether vendors invoice the agency monthly, weekly, or bi-weekly. Mentoring processing
- average 30 youth and families served, approximately 20 submissions weekly, the remainder are submitted monthly. Tutoring processing
- average 15 submissions per month. Transportation processing
- average 30 submissions per month. Kinship reimbursement processing
- average 20 submissions per month (each submission includes an average of 5-10 receipts that must be analyzed to ensure eligible purchases are included and tax is excluded).
