Under basic supervision, assists Franklin County tax payers with their personal property assessments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties. Assists tax payers both in person and over the phone; answers questions and provides information. Runs queries and reports for missing records information; verifies all information is entered accurately. Processes and files assessment forms. Opens mail; prepares outgoing mail. Assists other County offices with general questions. Performs other duties as assigned.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is performed in a standard office environment and involves sitting for extended periods of time, standing, walking, bending reaching, and lifting of objects up to 20 pounds.
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; AND two (2) years of clerical or customer service experience.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Knowledge of:
Department policies and procedures. General office practices. Customer service etiquette.
Skills in:
Communicating clearly both verbally and in writing. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Operating a personal computer.
