Job Description
Overview Seeking an experienced collector to collect business personal property taxes on behalf of local government clients represented out of Linebarger's Austin Office. This position requires a mix of strong communication skills, and a firm but fair approach to handling sensitive financial matters. As a collector and manager, you will be the primary point of contact between the collection attorneys, area managers (paralegals) and to some extent local tax offices and taxpayers, striving to create mutually agreeable payment solutions while maintaining professionalism and compliance with legal standards. A calm demeanor and being adept at communications and resolving payment issues will be keys to your success in this role. In addition to recovering these business personal property taxes, you will also provide customer service to those who may be facing financial hardships, offering guidance and support in an effort to facilitate timely payments. You will be working alongside a legal team to enforce collections in most cases. Minimum 2 years direct collection experience working with creditors and debtors. Must have a good driving record, reliable transportation, and be available to travel overnight part of the time.
