Role Summary The Sr. Director of Tax will serve as the organization's senior tax leader and trusted advisor to executive leadership. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will lead all aspects of federal, state, and international tax strategy, compliance, planning, reporting, and risk management. This position is responsible for developing tax strategies that support business growth, optimizing the global tax structure, and ensuring compliance across a complex multi state and international operating environment. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical tax expertise with strong leadership skills and the ability to translate complex tax matters into actionable business recommendations. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all federal, state, local, and international tax planning, compliance, and reporting activities
  • Develop and execute tax strategies that support long term business objectives, capital efficiency, and risk management
  • Oversee transfer pricing policies, documentation, and intercompany transactions across global operations
  • Manage domestic tax operations including multi state nexus, apportionment, payroll related tax incentives, and indirect taxes
  • Direct income tax accounting and reporting under ASC 740, including tax provisions, disclosures, and uncertain tax positions
  • Lead tax audits, examinations, and correspondence with taxing authorities while minimizing organizational risk
  • Partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Payroll, Legal, and executive leadership on strategic initiatives and business decisions
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high performing tax organization while driving process improvements, automation, and technology adoption Key Requirements
  • 15+ years of progressive tax experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a company exceeding $500M in annual revenue
  • CPA required with a Master's in Taxation, JD, or LLM in Tax strongly preferred
  • Deep expertise in ASC 740, corporate tax compliance, tax provision processes, and tax reporting
  • Extensive experience with international taxation, transfer pricing, tax treaties, and cross border tax structures
  • Strong knowledge of multi state taxation, nexus rules, apportionment methodologies, and indirect tax considerations
  • Experience managing complex tax matters related to large scale, labor intensive organizations preferred
  • Proven ability to present complex tax strategies and regulatory matters to senior executives and business leaders
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, relationship building, and team development skills Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary of $220,000 to $240,000 annually
