Job Description
We are seeking an experienced tax manager with an active CPA license to join our growing public accounting firm on the central coast. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients, solving complex tax issues, providing strategic tax advice, and developing relationships that extend beyond tax compliance. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in public accounting and a strong understanding of federal and state taxation, and a strong background in financial services, GAAP, tax accounting, financial planning, and accounting software. The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing tax compliance and planning engagements, reviewing complex tax returns, advising clients on tax matters, supervising staff, and serving as a trusted advisor to individuals and businesses. We are looking for someone who takes pride in being technically proficient, client-focused, organized, and is interested in long-term professional growth. The position offers significant exposure to complex tax matters and business advisory opportunities, as well as the opportunity to work closely with firm leadership and a diverse client base.
