Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Tax Senior Manager to join our tax practice and assume a significant leadership role within our small, highly collaborative CPA firm. The Tax Senior Manager leads significant client relationships and complex tax engagements while providing technical and professional leadership across multiple engagement teams. The position requires advanced technical judgment, strong client advisory skills, effective development of Managers and other professionals, and a willingness to contribute beyond an individual portfolio of clients. Responsibilities include leading complex tax compliance, planning, research, and advisory matters; anticipating tax-planning opportunities; serving as a senior advisor to significant clients; overseeing engagement portfolios and resource needs; coaching Managers in client and engagement leadership; and helping develop the firm's future leaders. Senior Managers are also expected to make their specialized technical, industry, and client experience readily available throughout the firm. Our collaborative culture encourages professionals to seek expertise wherever it exists and expects senior professionals to step in when another client, engagement, or team can benefit from their knowledge. The Tax Senior Manager also assumes meaningful responsibility for growing client relationships and developing new business through professional relationships, referrals, centers of influence, networking, and other appropriate activities. Qualifications Candidates should have substantial professional experience in tax compliance, planning, research, advisory services, and client relationship management, together with advanced technical knowledge and demonstrated expertise in one or more relevant technical, industry, or client-service areas. An active CPA license or admission to a state bar is required. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong professional judgment, client leadership, people-development skills, engagement-management capabilities, and meaningful experience in relationship growth and business development. Tax Senior Managers develop their own annual CPE and professional-development plans and review them with their advisor for suggestions and input.
Compensation:
Base Salary :
$170,000 - $200,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications and CPA status.
