Job Description:
Overview A growing public accounting firm is looking to add an experienced Tax Manager to its team, focusing on clients within the real estate and property investment sector. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for client engagements while overseeing tax compliance, advisory work, and junior staff development. The role offers strong exposure to complex real estate tax matters and the opportunity to work closely with leadership in a collaborative environment. This is not a pure compliance-based job as there are opportunities to assist with structuring advisory work on real estate deals. There is also training for those interested in best practices for business development to grow within the organization and ultimately become a Partner. Responsibilities Review and oversee preparation of tax filings for individuals, partnerships, and entities tied to real estate investments Provide technical guidance on federal and state tax matters related to property ownership structures and investment vehicles Address day-to-day tax questions from internal teams and clients Conduct research on complex tax regulations and provide recommendations Manage engagement planning, timelines, and deliverables across multiple client accounts Communicate with tax authorities when necessary regarding filings or notices Mentor and develop junior staff while reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness Support relationship management with clients and assist with growth initiatives for the tax practice Qualifications 5+ years of tax experience with a strong concentration in real estate clients within a public accounting environment Active CPA license (or progress toward completion) required Strong background in tax compliance, research, and advisory work
