Job Description
Tax Manager | Miami Lakes, FL | In Office | $100k to $140k+ The Partners have found themselves in a position most CPA firms would love to be in. They're turning new clients away. Not because they want to. Simply because demand has outgrown the team they have. Rather than continuing to stretch people or lower their standards, they've decided to invest in another experienced Tax Manager who can become a genuine part of the firm's future. This isn't a role where you'll spend your week buried in preparation work. The bookkeeping and much of the preparation is supported by an offshore team, leaving you to focus on the work that actually requires your experience. Reviewing returns, advising clients, building relationships, and helping move the tax department forward. You'll work with S Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, closely held businesses, and high net worth individuals. The clients are loyal, relationship driven, and expect a personal service, making this a great fit for someone who enjoys speaking with clients just as much as solving technical tax issues. Why people stay The culture isn't built around policies. It's built around trust. The Partners have a simple approach. Look after your clients. Look after your work. Everything else tends to fall into place. Nobody is watching the clock. Nobody is measuring commitment by who leaves the office last. Outside of busy season, there's plenty of flexibility because people are trusted to manage their workload like professionals. It's also the sort of firm where your ideas don't disappear into layers of management. You'll work directly with the Partners, have a genuine say in how things are done, and see the impact of your contribution. As the firm continues to grow, so do the opportunities around you. Partnership isn't being used as a recruitment buzzword. The Partners are looking for someone who wants to build a long term future with the firm and become part of its leadership over time. The role You'll oversee tax engagements from start to finish, review complex returns, advise clients, and become a trusted point of contact for your portfolio. This is a hands on management role with plenty of client interaction and autonomy. If you enjoy helping clients solve problems rather than simply reviewing somebody else's work, you'll feel at home here. Benefits 100% employee health insurance 100% dental and vision cover Safe Harbor 401(k) Generous PTO All major holidays A quieter Christmas period, giving everyone the chance to properly switch off and enjoy time with family What they're looking for CPA 4+ years of current Public Accounting tax experience Strong experience with S Corporations, Partnerships, and Individual Tax Experience reviewing complex tax returns Comfortable managing client relationships International Tax exposure would be beneficial UltraTax experience would be an advantage If you're looking for somewhere you'll have a voice, build meaningful client relationships, and have the opportunity to grow into something much bigger over the coming years, I'd love to tell you more.
