Newnan or Peachtree City, Georgia About the Role We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our team and play an important role in delivering high-quality tax services and building strong, lasting client relationships. In this role, you will oversee tax engagements, provide technical guidance, review tax returns, and help ensure our clients receive timely, accurate, and excellent service. The Tax Manager also serves as a leader and resource to the tax team-coaching and developing staff, supporting engagement planning and workflow, and helping identify opportunities to improve processes and technology. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical tax expertise with client service, leadership, and problem-solving. What You'll Do Deliver accurate and technically sound tax work with strong attention to detail. Review tax returns thoroughly and in a timely manner, identifying issues and proposing solutions. Prepare responses and documentation for income tax audits. Stay current on tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to the tax team. Develop and implement strategies to help clients maintain tax compliance. Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships. Serve as a client-facing advisor with a focus on tax-saving strategies. Act as a coach and mentor by advising, training, and coaching staff. Supervise staff and senior accountants; oversee completion of engagements, and delegate work appropriately. Collaborate closely with Tax Managers and firm leadership to drive team and firm success. Review and provide constructive feedback on staff work to promote technical and professional development. Contribute to the firm's growth by identifying new service opportunities and expanding existing client engagements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, referral sources, and community organizations. What We're Looking For CPA Certificate required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Master's degree in Tax or Accounting preferred. Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting. Strong technical knowledge of business, individual, trust, and nonprofit tax returns. Proficiency with tax software; UltraTax preferred, Microsoft Office, and accounting software. Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and supervising others. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent client service and relationship-building skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and budget expectations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and professional standards. Ability to work collaboratively while also independently researching and resolving complex tax matters.
