//www.optimizehire.org/apply-job?i=MTM1Mw%3D%3D Our Tax & Accounting Managers do more than prepare tax returns or review financial statements. They own the client relationship from an accounting and tax perspective. You'll oversee the work being performed behind the scenes, make sure the numbers are right, and then help the client understand those numbers and use them to make better decisions.
The goal is simple:
accurate accounting, proactive tax planning, and year-round guidance that helps our clients build stronger and more profitable businesses.
Key responsibilities include:
Review monthly accounting work completed by staff accountants to ensure financials are accurate, complete, and ready for client delivery. Finalize and post monthly financial statements, identifying unusual activity, trends, or issues that need to be addressed with the client. Advise business owners on their financial results and help them understand what the numbers mean for their business. Prepare and review business and individual income tax returns for assigned clients, ensuring accurate and timely filings. Provide proactive tax planning, meeting with clients at least twice per year to review their tax position, identify planning opportunities, and minimize surprises. Maintain an ongoing advisory relationship with clients throughout the year—not just during tax season. Coordinate with staff accountants and other team members to ensure client work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. Identify opportunities and concerns related to cash flow, profitability, tax strategy, entity structure, and other financial matters affecting the client. Provide additional consulting for Profit First clients, including reviewing allocations, evaluating financial performance, and helping business owners implement and maintain the Profit First methodology. Build strong, long-term client relationships by communicating proactively, providing practical guidance, and becoming a trusted partner for their business and personal tax needs. What this job is
