3008168674-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Constellation Energy seeks a SALT Planning Manager to lead state and local tax strategy for our growing utilities and energy portfolio. In this role, you will design and execute multi-state tax planning, model the impact of legislative changes, support transactions, and manage audit exposure while ensuring compliance. You will collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, and Legal, present planning recommendations to leadership, and mentor junior staff. Responsibilities Lead SALT (state and local tax) planning strategies for Constellation Energy's multi-state operations Analyze complex state income, franchise, sales and use tax laws to minimize risk and optimize tax position Model tax impacts of business initiatives, restructurings, and transactions in the utilities and energy sector Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Legal to ensure accurate tax planning, documentation, and implementation Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and advise leadership on implications and opportunities Manage SALT components of audits, notices, and controversy matters with state and local authorities Develop and maintain SALT planning processes, controls, and best practices Prepare and present clear reports and recommendations to senior management Support tax technology, data quality, and process improvements for SALTMentor junior tax staff and support their technical development in state and local taxation Required Skills State and local tax planning Corporate income and franchise tax Sales and use tax Multistate tax research Tax modeling and forecasting Tax accounting (ASC 740 basics) Data analysis and Excel Tax controversy and audit management Tax process and controls design Tax technology and ERP systems
