Downtown Chicago - On Site A large, privately held national infrastructure and power development company is seeking a Senior Manager of Property Tax to join its growing tax team in a high-impact, highly visible role .This is a strong opportunity for an experienced multi-state property tax professional who enjoys owning complex processes, engaging with external advisors and tax authorities, and working cross-functionally in a dynamic, deal-heavy environment
What You'll Do:
Lead high-impact property tax planning, modeling, and compliance initiatives that directly shape project outcomes across a large national portfolio Coordinate and manage relationships with top external advisors and law firms across the country Serve as the in-house property tax subject matter expert - connecting insights across teams and driving alignment on key tax matters Represent the organization in discussions with state and local tax authorities on project-level matters Champion process and technology enhancements that streamline operations and improve quality Own key processes and projects end-to-end - setting direction, tracking progress, and delivering results
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of multi-state property tax experience JD, CPA, or CMI preferred Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently drive work and navigate complex tax and legal research Sharp communicator, clear, confident writing and the ability to articulate complex issues to varied audiences Solutions-oriented self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment Eagerness to build and grow technical tax knowledge as the business evolves Why This Role Stands Out ?
