Posted Yesterday We are a top CPA firm seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing team in Skokie, Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA or experienced tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients, leading tax engagements, and providing high-level tax planning and compliance services. What You'll Do - Manage and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and corporations
- Oversee multiple tax engagements and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients
- Research and interpret complex tax issues and regulations
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Review work prepared by staff and senior-level tax professionals
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide strategic recommendations
- Assist with training, mentoring, and developing junior team members
- Communicate directly with clients and serve as a trusted advisor
- Support firm leadership with special projects and other tax-related initiatives What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA license is a plus but not required
- 6+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Experience reviewing individual and business tax returns
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements and competing deadlines
