Job Description

Job Summary An established CPA firm in the greater Boston area is seeking a Senior Tax Manager or Tax Director to join its growing team. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced public accounting professional who enjoys direct client interaction, tax planning, team leadership, and business advisory work. The role will work closely with firm leadership while overseeing a diverse portfolio of tax clients. You will lead a team of tax professionals and collaborate with an established audit and attest team. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple tax engagements and ensure high quality, timely delivery of tax services Review and file complex tax returns for corporations, high net worth individuals, and flow through entities Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsive service Provide tax planning, research, and business advisory services Identify tax saving opportunities and proactively communicate recommendations to clients Monitor workflow, deadlines, and engagement progress Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships based on their evolving needs Recommend business process improvements that enhance client operations and firm productivity Manage, mentor, and develop tax staff Provide technical guidance and training on tax related matters Develop and deliver firm wide tax training programs Collaborate directly with partners and clients to resolve issues and complete engagements efficiently Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Active CPA license required 6 to 10+ years of public accounting experience Proven management and supervisory experience within a public accounting firm Strong tax research and tax planning expertise Experience with corporate and high net worth individual taxation Experience with flow through entities Strong client relationship management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt during busy periods CCH Axcess Tax or ProSystem fx Tax experience is a plus
Pay:
$128,731.88 - $155,031.94 per year
