Job Description
Overview Kadant Inc. is seeking an International Tax Manager to support its global tax function. This role is responsible for executing key components of U.S. international tax and selected foreign jurisdiction activities, while supporting broader tax provision, planning, and M&A initiatives. This position reports to the International Tax Director and works closely with senior members of the tax team. The role is designed for a strong technical professional who can independently manage defined workstreams while collaborating within a highly experienced tax organization. Responsibilities Core Responsibilities (Primary Ownership) Prepare and support U.S. international tax calculations, including GILTI, Subpart F, and foreign tax credits
Manage tax compliance and reporting for selected foreign jurisdictions in coordination with external advisors
Execute transfer pricing policies, including intercompany calculations and documentation support
Coordinate and review work performed by external tax advisors for assigned areas
Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned deliverables Supporting Responsibilities (Contributor Role) Support the global tax provision process (ASC 740), including data collection and analysis
Assist with tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and integration activities
Contribute to tax planning and structuring projects led by senior team members
Support responses to tax audits and inquiries, as needed Scope & Working Model Operates with ownership over defined processes and jurisdictions
Collaborates closely with the International Tax Director, Global Tax Director, and external tax advisors on more complex or judgmental matters
Contributes to broader tax initiatives but does not have primary responsibility for global strategy or structuring decisions Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA (or actively pursuing)
7-10 years of tax experience
Public accounting (Big 4 or similar) and/or multinational corporate environment, preferably with a manufacturing/industrial company
Strong technical knowledge of U.S. international tax concepts and ASC 740 fundamentals
Experience working with cross-border operations and multiple jurisdictions
Strong analytical and organizational skills Preferred Master's degree in Taxation (MST) or related field
Exposure to transfer pricing and global tax provision processes
Experience with OneSource provision software Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information
Detail-oriented with a high standard for accuracy
Ability to work independently while escalating issues appropriately

Continues developing technical and operational tax knowledge Compensation (Indicative Range) Base salary: $130,000 - $170,000
