full-time Titan Talent is partnering with a growing real estate organization in Ann Arbor to identify an experienced Tax Manager. This individual will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance, planning, and reporting across a portfolio of real estate entities, with a particular focus on partnership taxation and complex real estate structures. Responsibilities Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance for partnerships, corporations, and related real estate entities Oversee the preparation and review of partnership tax returns and Schedule K-1s Manage tax matters related to real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, and entity structures Research and interpret tax regulations and determine their impact on the organization Coordinate with external tax advisors and accounting firms Review tax workpapers, supporting schedules, and tax-related financial information Assist with tax planning strategies designed to improve tax efficiency and minimize risk Manage estimated tax payments, extensions, and other tax filing requirements Support tax audits and respond to federal, state, and local tax notices Partner with accounting and finance leadership on tax implications related to transactions and business decisions Maintain strong internal controls and accurate documentation related to tax compliance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of tax experience Significant experience working directly within the real estate industry or supporting real estate clients in public accounting Strong knowledge of partnership taxation Experience with corporate and real estate taxation CPA heavily preferred, but not required Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations Experience working with complex entity structures and multiple legal entities Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Background Experience with partnerships, LLCs, real estate investments, development, or property management organizations Combination of public accounting and industry experience is a plus
