Job Description
A growing boutique advisory and CFO services firm is seeking an experienced tax professional to support entrepreneurial, privately held, and growth-stage businesses. This role offers exposure to a wide variety of tax, accounting, and strategic projects, providing exceptional breadth of experience and long-term career growth. Highlights Opportunity to work directly with business owners, executives, and leadership teams Exposure to companies across multiple industries and stages of growth Mix of tax strategy, research, compliance, and advisory work Ability to expand responsibilities beyond tax into accounting, finance, systems, and operational initiatives Clear path for professional growth and increased leadership responsibilities Collaborative, client-facing environment Key Responsibilities Support entity structuring and planning initiatives, including collaboration with external advisors Perform tax research and analyse complex tax matters Prepare and review tax compliance filings Review general ledger activity, account analysis, and financial data integrity Perform account reconciliations as needed Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve accounting and transactional issues Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and external stakeholders Assist with financial reporting and broader business advisory projects Provide guidance and support to clients on tax and accounting matters Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field Approximately 5-7 years of progressive tax experience Strong background in tax compliance and tax planning Experience working in a client-facing or advisory environment preferred Excellent organisational and project management skills Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities Professional communication and presentation skills Experience with general ledger accounting and account analysis preferred Ability to work independently while collaborating with a broader team Work Environment Hybrid/in-office professional services environment Opportunity to work with a broad range of clients and business challenges Flexible and entrepreneurial culture focused on growth, leadership, and development If you are looking for variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple organisations, we encourage you to apply.
