Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Manager to lead our preparation of tax returns.. In this role, you will oversee complex tax strategies, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and provide expert guidance on a wide range of tax issues. Your expertise will drive efficient tax reporting, support financial decision-making, and help optimize our organization's tax position. This is an exciting opportunity to manage our tax preparers and ensure our clients receive excellent tax service that they are accustomed to. Responsibilities Lead the preparation, review, and submission of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws. Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies. Stay current on changes in tax legislation, securities law, and regulatory compliance accounting to ensure ongoing adherence to evolving standards. Supervise staff accountants and provide on the job training. Refine tax preparation procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness throughout the process. Represent the firm in a positive and professional manner. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent certification. At least four (4) years experience in public accounting, demonstrating a progression in tax return complexity, scope and research. Proficiency in tax research skills. Experience in preparing responses to IRS and state revenue agencies. Hands-on experience with tax reporting software and general ledger accounting systems like QuickBooks, CCH, and/or UltraTax. Demonstrated ability to analyze financial statements accurately while performing account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation tasks. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly and effectively. Strong analytical skills combined with attention to detail in financial report interpretation and analysis skills. Pay:
$95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
