Job Description
A well-established CPA firm in Parsippany, NJ is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a well-rounded tax professional with broad experience supporting corporations, partnerships, individuals, trusts, and closely held businesses. Responsibilities Oversee tax compliance, planning, and the preparation and review of complex federal, state, and local tax returns. Manage engagements involving corporations, partnerships, individuals, and trusts. Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to clients across various industries. Maintain and manage strong client relationships while serving as a trusted advisor. Research and resolve complex tax matters and remain current on changes in tax laws and regulations. Manage engagements from planning through completion, including budgeting, billing, and invoicing. Supervise, train, mentor, and review the work of tax staff and senior accountants. Assist with business development, proposal preparation, and client presentations. Participate in firm-wide initiatives, marketing efforts, and special projects. Qualifications Active CPA license required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting; a Master's degree in Taxation is preferred. Approximately 5-8 years of public accounting experience with a strong focus on tax. Broad, generalist tax experience across individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations. Proven leadership, client-management, and team-development skills. Experience with CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar tax software is preferred.
