On-Site Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a well-established public accounting firm in Ramsey, New Jersey. This role is ideal for a technically strong tax professional who enjoys managing client engagements, mentoring staff, and building lasting client relationships. The Tax Manager will work closely with firm leadership to deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to closely held businesses, partnerships, corporations, and individual clients. Key Responsibilities Manage and review business, partnership, corporate, and individual tax engagements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion. Prepare and review tax returns, tax projections, and supporting workpapers. Provide tax planning and advisory services for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and technical expertise. Supervise, mentor, and develop senior accountants and staff accountants. Coordinate engagement workflow, budgets, staffing, and project deadlines. Research and resolve federal, state, and multi-state tax issues. Collaborate with firm leadership to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance client service. Support the implementation and effective use of tax technology and best practices. Qualifications Active CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing licensure). 4-6 years of progressive public accounting experience with a strong focus on taxation. Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance. Experience reviewing tax returns and supervising staff. Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple client engagements while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with public accounting tax and accounting software.
