Job Description

Position OverviewThe Tax Manager / Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for the preparation and review of client tax returns, proactive tax planning, and ongoing client advisory services. The successful candidate will work closely with wealth advisors and clients to identify opportunities that minimize tax liabilities and support long-term financial goals.

This position does not initially include staff supervision responsibilities, allowing the individual to remain focused on client service, tax compliance, and planning.

Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for:

High-net-worth individualsTrusts and estatesSmall businesses and closely held entitiesProvide year-round tax planning and advisory services to clientsIdentify tax-saving opportunities and develop strategic tax solutionsAnalyze client financial information and ensure compliance with tax regulationsResearch tax issues and communicate recommendations to clients and advisorsCoordinate with wealth management professionals to deliver integrated financial and tax planning solutionsAssist clients with tax notices and other compliance-related mattersMaintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local tax lawsWork Schedule50-60 hours per week during tax seasonReturn to a standard professional schedule outside of tax season100% in-office position
