The Tax Manager will be responsible for reviewing a variety of tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and providing technical guidance to staff. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys mentoring staff, managing client relationships, and delivering high-quality tax services. Manageable busy season with rarely exceeding 55 hours and no tracking billable hours. Key Responsibilities Review individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and S-corporation tax returns for accuracy and compliance. Prepare complex tax returns and tax planning projects as needed. Research tax issues and provide practical recommendations to clients and firm leadership. Manage tax engagements from planning through completion while meeting deadlines and budget expectations. Serve as a primary point of contact for tax clients and build strong client relationships. Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide proactive tax planning strategies. Supervise, train, and mentor tax staff and senior accountants. Review tax workpapers and provide constructive feedback to team members. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Assist with IRS and state tax notices, examinations, and correspondence. Stay current on tax law changes and communicate impacts to clients and staff. Support business development efforts and contribute to the growth of the firm's tax practice. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA license required. Minimum of 4 years of recent public accounting tax experience. Strong knowledge of individual, business, and fiduciary taxation. Experience reviewing tax returns and supervising staff. Proficiency with tax preparation and accounting software. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

$93,063.65 - $112,076.65 per year
