Job Description
Investment firm located in the West Chester, PA area seeks a Tax Manager with public accounting expertise. This Tax Manager will play a critical leadership role overseeing tax engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. The responsibilities of this role include: managing tax planning, compliance, managing and mentoring staff, reviewing/preparing individual, trust and business tax returns, overseeing tax audits, researching business initiatives, and mitigating tax risks. To be successful in this role, the Tax Manager must have in-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. - Prepare tax journal entries, ensuring compliance within tax provisions
- Identify and mitigate tax risks
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning
- Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly projections
- Maintain and update the organization's tax policies and documentation
- Review and analyze financial statements
- Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation
- Coordinate tax audits
- Oversee special tax related projects The ideal Tax Manager will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. Other requirements for the Tax Manager role include and are not limited to:
- CPA a must
- 10+ years of public tax experience in a small to midsized firm
- Experience managing a 4+ person team
- Strong knowledge of tax codes, compliance, and reporting
