Job Description

Job DescriptionThe Tax Manager will primarily be responsible for federal corporate tax compliance, research, and audit management Manage preparation and review of the U.S. federal income tax return (Form 1120), including consolidated filing, pro formas, and all supporting schedules and statements.
Own the federal compliance calendar and workflow, ensuring timely, accurate filings and extension/estimate management.
Prepare and review federal tax calculations including depreciation, §163(j) interest limitation, BEAT, and R D credit, with clear workpaper support and audit trails.
Draft and oversee responses to IRS notices and correspondence; track issues through resolution and maintain response templates.
Manage federal income tax audits, including IDR coordination, issue tracking, and position memos.
Perform technical tax research and analysis, draft concise memos and executive summaries.
Maintain and improve compliance processes and internal controls (e.g., desktop procedures and reviewer checklists).Leverage tax technology (e.g., OneSource/OTP, fixed asset systems) to streamline data collection and calculations.
Lead special projects (e.g., legal entity rationalization, method changes, automation, data quality initiatives) and present findings to stakeholders.
