Remote Tax Manager Remote Tax Manager (Remote / Major US City Hub) Are you an experienced CPA looking for a high-impact remote leadership opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated Remote Tax Manager to drive compliance, planning, and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of corporate and high-net-worth individual clients. In this fully remote role, you will take ownership of complex tax workflows, spearhead technical research, serve as a primary client contact, and mentor a talented remote team of tax professionals. Remote Designated Hub City:
Buffalo, NY (Open to candidates residing anywhere within the United States with proximity to major metropolitan regions).
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$100,000 - $140,000 annually (commensurate with experience)

Core Responsibilities Tax Return Review & Compliance:
Manage and meticulously review federal and state tax returns, including Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, and 1040, ensuring rigorous accuracy and deadline adherence.
Strategic Tax Planning:
Provide advanced technical tax research, identify proactive tax-saving opportunities, and deliver clear recommendations to minimize client tax liabilities.
Client Relationship Management:
Oversee a dedicated portfolio of corporate, partnership, and high-net-worth individual (HNWI) clients, acting as the primary advisor for tax strategies and projections.
Remote Team Leadership:
Supervise and guide remote tax teams by setting workflows, prioritizing workloads, conducting quality control reviews, and offering continuous coaching.
Entity & Transaction Structuring:
Navigate complex transactions, C-Corp and S-Corp conversions, partnership allocations, and rigorous basis tracking matters.
Business Development:
Support growth initiatives by drafting client proposals, participating in pitch meetings, and helping expand current service offerings.
Process Optimization:
Maintain secure virtual document handling, leverage modern tax software platforms, and stay current on changing federal and state tax legislation.
Qualifications & Requirements Licensure:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required; Enrolled Agent (EA) is a welcome plus.
Experience:
5+ years of progressive tax experience within a public accounting or advisory firm environment, including direct supervisory exposure.
Technical Proficiency:
Deep working knowledge of corporate, partnership, and individual tax filings, alongside high-net-worth personal tax planning.
Core Competencies:
Strong grasp of partnership allocations, K-1 preparation, basis tracking, and modern corporate tax-planning strategies.
Remote Excellence:
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, comfortable utilizing virtual collaboration tools, tax research databases, and autonomous workflow management.
