Hybrid schedule with one day remote year round. Role Description We're hiring a full-time Senior Tax Manager to run a newly acquired office.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Managing a team of 5-10 CPA and support staff — recruiting, developing, mentoring, and conducting year-end performance reviews Monitoring staff progress and ensuring deadlines are met Preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts Researching tax questions and staying current on regulation changes Communicating with clients on accounting and tax needs, and building lasting client relationships Responding to inquiries from the IRS, state, and other tax authorities Helping grow the firm Requirements 8+ years of tax return experience in public accounting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field CPA or EA required Direct client-facing experience preparing/reviewing returns and managing staff Strong leadership and problem-solving skills QuickBooks proficiency Compensation $135,000-$170,000 base, plus incentive compensation equal to 20% of the office's EBITDA — this is your office to build, and you're rewarded directly for its success.
