Our client, a well-established and growing CPA firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join their team due to an upcoming retirement. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned tax professional who enjoys working closely with clients, handling complex tax matters, and serving as a trusted resource for both clients and colleagues. The ideal candidate will bring 8-10+ years of public accounting and tax preparation experience, an active CPA license, and the confidence and technical expertise to be the firm's "go-to" person for tax questions and guidance. Key Responsibilities

+ Manage and oversee the preparation and review of complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, and corporations.

+ Serve as a primary technical resource and go-to tax expert for staff and managers, providing guidance on complex tax questions and issues.

+ Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and changes to ensure accurate and compliant tax filings.

+ Review tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to firm and professional standards.

+ Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and maximize overall tax efficiency.

+ Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients and serve as a key point of contact for tax-related matters.

+ Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced team members.

+ Assist with complex tax research, special projects, and client inquiries throughout the year.

+ Stay current on changes to federal and state tax regulations and communicate relevant updates to the team and clients.

+ Participate in firm initiatives and contribute to the continued growth and development of the tax practice. Requirements Qualifications

+ CPA license required. + 8-10+ years of progressive tax preparation experience, preferably within a public accounting/CPA firm environment.

+ Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation.

+ Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.

+ Excellent tax research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

+ Strong communication and client relationship management abilities.

+ Ability to confidently answer technical tax questions and serve as a trusted resource for the firm.

+ Experience mentoring, training, or providing guidance to other tax professionals.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

+ Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office.
