Tax Manager

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager (CPA or EA) to lead our firm's tax function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical tax and strategic client advisory work and wants to help shape the future of a growing firm. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about tax law and passionate about client advisory work, possesses strong analytical skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is a leadership role without direct reports but with full responsibility for reviewing returns prepared by our in-office team and ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all tax deliverables. We are open to full-time, part-time, or seasonal arrangements depending on the candidate. Duties Oversee preparation and filing of individual & entity tax returns Manage all tax-related workflows & deadlines Manage audits conducted by tax authorities Provide proactive, year-round planning & strategy and identify tax-saving opportunities for all clients Help transition the firm to a more efficient, paperless environment Communicate directly with clients on tax matters and planning Provide limited IRS representation as needed Support marketing efforts related to tax advisory service offerings Assist with capacity planning and client selection Contribute to ongoing process improvement and automation Technology & Tools We are a technology-forward firm, and the ideal candidate is comfortable using and improving digital workflows and has experience with the following applications:
