Job Description

Tax Manager Distinct Recruitment - 4.5 Hollywood, FL Job Details Full-time $120,000 - $160,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications CPA Public accounting Accounting firm experience Full Job Description Senior Tax Manager | Hollywood | Hybrid and potential Fully Remote opportunity One of the Partners is planning to retire within the next few years and that's the reason this role exist. They want to bring someone in now who has enough experience to take real ownership, build relationships with the client base, become a trusted technical voice within the firm and, over time, step into Partnership. So when they talk about succession, they actually mean it. You'd be joining a well established CPA firm with long standing clients, a strong reputation and a Partner group that wants to find someone they can properly invest in. Not someone to sit behind a desk and review returns all day, but someone who can gradually become part of the leadership of the firm. They're looking for a Senior Tax Manager who already knows their stuff. Someone comfortable with complex 1040, 1120S, 1065, 1120 and 1041 work, trusts and estates, real estate clients and developers, passive loss rules, NOLs and the sort of technical issues that come with more complex client work. You'll have your own relationships to manage and plenty of autonomy, but you'll also be close to the Partners from day one. They want someone who can become a sounding board, help develop the team, share knowledge and eventually start having a real say in how the tax practice moves forward. And they're not expecting you to walk in and reinvent the place in week one. They want you to learn the firm first, understand the clients, understand what works, then bring your ideas, your experience and your own way of doing things. The culture is professional without feeling stiff. People are trusted and there is no appetite for micromanagement, and experienced people are given room to get on with their jobs. For someone who has already reached Senior Tax Manager level, that probably matters more than another fancy title anyway. You'll need to be a CPA and you'll need strong recent Public Accounting experience, but more than anything, they want someone who genuinely sees Partnership as the next chapter.
