Job Description
Tax Manager Distinct Recruitment - 4.5 Miami Lakes, FL Job Details Full-time $120,000 - $150,000 a year 14 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Life insurance Qualifications CPA Public accounting Accounting firm experience UltraTax Full Job Description Tax Manager | Miami Lakes | $120k - $150k If you want the smaller firm feel without being buried in admin, this is worth a look. I've already helped a Senior join this firm and the feedback has been excellent. \ They've got far more freedom around their hours, a much better work life balance, and they've settled into the team quickly. It's a small CPA firm in Miami Lakes with a close knit culture and a very simple philosophy around flexibility: Get the work done, support the team when things are busy, and they'll give that flexibility back when you need it. Busy season tops out at around 55 hours, and outside of that they're very flexible around hours and working from home where it makes sense. They're growing the Tax team simply because they're currently turning work away not because someone has left. As Tax Manager, you'll take ownership of engagements from start to finish. This is mainly a review role across S Corps, Partnerships, 1040s, HNW clients, K1s and closely held businesses, with some International Tax exposure too. The client side matters here. You'll be trusted to manage relationships directly, handle issues, run engagements, manage budgets and take things through to completion. Clients are used to a high level of service and a personal touch, so confidence and strong communication skills are just as important as the technical side. There's very little data entry involved, with much of that handled by the offshore team, so you can spend more time reviewing, advising and working with clients. CPA is required, with strong UltraTax experience and broad tax exposure. Benefits include 401k with safe harbour match, 100% employee health insurance, 100% dental and vision, GAP insurance, generous PTO, all major holidays off and a Christmas shutdown. If you want a firm where you can still do good quality tax work without giving up every bit of control over your life, this could be a very good fit.
