Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Supervisor / Tax Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing tax compliance, reviewing complex tax returns, and providing strategic tax planning and advisory services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage client relationships and multiple engagements.A CPA/EA
designation is preferred but not required.Key Responsibilities:
Review and prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities Oversee tax compliance processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to all applicable laws and deadlines Conduct advanced tax research and provide guidance on complex tax matters Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize financial outcomes for clients or the organization Manage multiple client engagements and serve as a primary point of contact Supervise, mentor, and develop junior staff, including reviewing work and providing performance feedback Coordinate and support responses to tax notices, audits, and inquiries from tax authorities Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate impacts to stakeholdersQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA/EA certification preferred; candidates with significant experience will also be considered 4 years + of relevant tax experience Strong knowledge of tax compliance, reporting requirements, and tax planning strategies Proven leadership experience Experience with tax software and accounting systems Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and client management abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Work Environment & Benefits Competitive salary and bonuses Flexible work arrangements (hybrid) Professional development and continuing education support Comprehensive benefits packageINDCPA Pay:
