At our firm, we are an established CPA and business advisory practice based in Greater Pittsburgh, PA, with over 40 years of service delivering tailored tax, accounting, and consulting solutions. We operate on the foundational belief that building trusted relationships starts from within-fostering an innovative, entrepreneurial team environment where your ideas matter and your career growth is prioritized. As a firm recognized for high quality standards and top-tier AICPA peer evaluations, we offer the technical depth and resources of a larger practice combined with the warm, collaborative culture of a regional firm. Due to continued growth across our practice, we are seeking a strategic, relationship-focused Tax Manager to join our team. In this role, you will move beyond basic compliance to serve as a key advisor to small businesses, middle-market entities, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. If you value workplace flexibility, community involvement, and hands-on client advisory, we would love to talk with you. Responsibilities Manage, plan, and review complex federal, state, and multi-state tax compliance engagements for corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individuals. Serve as a primary trusted advisor, working directly with business owners and leaders across key regional sectors (such as manufacturing, construction, technology, professional services, and non-profits) to deliver creative tax-planning, M&A, and risk-management strategies. Supervise, mentor, and coach associates and senior associates, actively fostering their personal development and technical growth. Oversee engagement workflows, team resources, and compliance timelines to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables. Perform complex tax research on federal, state, and local issues, providing actionable recommendations to clients and documenting findings in clear technical memos. Maintain direct communication with clients and coordinate with taxing authorities to resolve notices and audit inquiries smoothly. Collaborate cross-functionally with our audit, family office, and advisory teams to deliver holistic financial solutions. Qualifications Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required. 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience in taxation, with a background managing engagements and supervising staff. Strong technical expertise in corporate, partnership, multi-state, and individual tax compliance and strategic planning. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build strong relationships with internal team members and external clients. Excellent technical research capabilities and familiarity with modern accounting software (experience with CCH Axcess or similar platforms is a plus). Superior written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate dense tax regulations into clear business advice. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's in Taxation (MST) is a plus. Why Join Us?
