Job Description
"We offer a small firm culture with a lot of opportunities. You won't be held back. If you come in as a staff accountant, you can grow and develop and get exposure to a lot of different areas. We have a friendly, team oriented work atmosphere. We are flexible with work hours. 8‑4:30, but during summer is 8‑4 on Fridays. We do a 5% match almost every year. Partners try to be cognizant of the workload of our people. We try not to stress you out with 'you need x number of billable hours' as we know that doesn't work." That's how the Managing Partner describes life at this mid‑sized, full‑service CPA firm on the Cape and it genuinely shows. If you join the team, you'll work across a mix of small and mid‑sized clients, gaining hands‑on experience in both tax and accounting. You'll get real variety in your day‑to‑day work and the chance to grow your technical skills quickly, surrounded by supportive colleagues who want you to succeed. Busy season here means around 50 hours a week, so you'll work hard but not be run into the ground. The firm's excellent retention rate says it all: people rarely leave for other CPA firms because the environment is collaborative, respectful, and focused on balance. You'll have autonomy to run with your work, but also the backing of partners and teammates who are genuinely invested in helping you thrive. There's an open‑door policy at every level, and the partners continuously look for ways to make your job easier and your life better. You'll enjoy a healthy work‑life balance, flexibility in your hours, a 5% match most years, and two bonuses one after tax season and another at Christmas. The benefits package is strong, reflecting how well they look after their people. If this sounds like the kind of firm where you'd fit right in, hit apply and I'll be in touch. Apply anyway if this one isn't the perfect fit, there's a good chance we've got another public accounting opportunity that will be.
