Tax Manager

Tax Manager (or high level senior) $120,000 - $150,000 If you are stepping into a Manager role, you want it to actually feel like one. More client exposure. More say in how work is done. More influence over the people around you. Not just a title change and more hours. This firm is small on paper, around 13 people, but set up in a way that feels closer to some mid sized. Everything is cloud based. Systems are clean. Processes are built properly. Clients expect a high level of service and are used to it. They focus heavily on business clients. 1120s and 1065s make up the core of the work, alongside advisory and planning. There is some individual work, but this is not a 1040 heavy environment and there is no nonprofit work. What they need now is someone who can lead from the middle. You will be reviewing work, managing staff, and being front and centre with clients. There are juniors in the team who need guidance and development, and that only really works with someone present and involved. So you'll be someone who lives working in the office. There is flexibility, you can work from home occasionally, but the expectation is that you are part of the office and part of the team. Busy season is still busy. Around 55 to 60 hours. You will also have proper client contact. Not filtered. Not limited. You will be expected to build relationships, answer questions, and be someone clients trust. You'll be someone who has seen a range of business clients and is not too narrow in what you've done. You'll also need your CPA for this level.
