Job Description

Overview Stay committed to your tax career without surrendering your life to tax season. This year-round role is designed around approximately 30 hours per week, with a defined maximum of 40 hours during limited peak periods. We are building a tax and advisory firm where excellent work, deeply personal client communication, and a sustainable career can coexist. We are seeking a senior tax professional to own final review and client delivery while helping develop our people and improve the system behind the work. What you will own Final review and delivery readiness for individual and business returns Clear, warm voice-over videos that guide clients through their completed returns Resolution of routine technical questions, notices, and amended returns Day-to-day technical leadership and feedback for preparers A documented Return Delivery Brief and quality-control process Turnaround, workflow health, and continuous improvement Year-round planning support, training, and tax-season readiness What success looks like Clients understand what changed, why it changed, and what to do next. Most returns move from completed preparation to client approval without owner involvement. Complete client files are delivered within a two-week target. Preparers become better because review produces clear feedback. You improve the system instead of becoming its newest bottleneck. The schedule This is a year-round W-2 role designed around approximately 30 hours per week, with benefits eligibility at that schedule. Defined peak periods may require up to 40 hours, but routine work above 40 hours is not part of our model. Post-deadline flexibility and lighter scheduling are built into the role. Qualifications Demonstrated senior-level tax preparation or review experience Strong judgment and the confidence to own routine decisions Exceptional written and spoken client communication Ability to read the whole client file and identify the story behind the numbers Comfort teaching others and improving workflows CPA or EA preferred; Texas-licensed CPA candidates receive priority consideration Experience with Drake, UltraTax, TaxDome, and/or AI-assisted workflows is helpful but not required Location and compensation Remote-friendly. Texas-licensed CPAs and candidates within commuting distance of Beaver, Pennsylvania, receive priority consideration. Other work states require firm approval. Expected annual compensation is $70,000-$80,000 depending on credentials, experience, schedule, work location, duties, and lawful classification. This role is built for an experienced tax professional who wants meaningful responsibility, genuine influence, and a sustainable alternative to the traditional tax-season grind. $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
