In this pivotal role, you will oversee complex tax strategies, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and provide expert guidance on a wide range of tax issues. Your expertise will drive efficient tax processes, support business growth initiatives, and help optimize financial outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative environment where your technical proficiency and strategic insight will make a significant impact. Duties Lead and manage all aspects of corporate and individual tax compliance, including tax return preparation and review for various entities Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies, including estate planning, mergers & acquisitions, and asset management initiatives Ensure regulatory compliance with tax laws such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and securities law requirements Oversee financial report writing, interpretation of financial statements, and balance sheet reconciliation to support accurate tax reporting Conduct detailed analysis of financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, technical accounting, and regulatory compliance accounting to optimize tax positions Collaborate with internal teams on audit processes, internal controls, and SOX compliance efforts Provide expert guidance on complex issues including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), private equity transactions, and non-profit accounting Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred Extensive experience in tax accounting with a strong background in corporate accounting, public accounting, and financial services Demonstrated expertise in estate planning, wills, trusts & estate law, securities law, and regulatory reporting Proficiency with accounting software such as Quicken or similar platforms; experience with financial software for tax reporting is essential Deep understanding of GAAP standards, technical accounting principles, and regulatory compliance requirements Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial reports and perform account reconciliation effectively Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly and professionally Join us as a Tax Manager to leverage your comprehensive tax expertise in a fast-paced environment that values innovation and strategic thinking.
