Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Seasonal Tax Office Manager to lead our tax preparation season with enthusiasm and precision. In this role, you will oversee daily office operations, coordinate tax-related activities, supervise staff, and ensure a smooth workflow throughout the busy tax season. Your leadership will help deliver exceptional client service while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. Duties Manage the daily operations of the tax office, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of all tax filings Supervise and train administrative staff, including clerical personnel and junior team members, fostering a collaborative team environment Oversee scheduling management for staff and client appointments to maximize productivity during peak season Coordinate vendor management activities, including liaising with software providers and other service vendors to ensure seamless operations Handle human resources responsibilities such as onboarding temporary staff, managing payroll, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information Utilize financial software such as QuickBooks and specialized accounting tools to perform bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial tracking tasks Maintain accurate filing systems, manage multi-line phone systems, and oversee front desk operations to ensure excellent customer service and client communication Prepare reports using Microsoft Office spreadsheets, ensuring data accuracy for tax filings and office management purposes Support office experience initiatives by implementing process improvements and training team members on technical proficiency Requirements Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within a tax or accounting environment Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership skills in team management and training Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, along with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel spreadsheets Knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and financial software applications Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle client communication professionally and courteously Organizational skills essential for schedule management, filing systems, and multi-tasking in a busy office setting Experience with event planning or coordinating office activities is a plus but not required Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high levels of integrity Technical proficiency in office equipment such as multi-line phone systems and calendar management tools Prior experience in human resources functions including onboarding, training & development is desirable Join us this tax season to lead a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding service while honing your leadership skills in a rewarding environment.
