The role The Tax Manager will oversee the preparation of compiled financial statements and lead the preparation and review of corporate, partnership and individual income tax returns. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, supervise and develop junior team members, and collaborate across the firm to deliver timely, accurate work with exceptional client service. What you'll do Tax compliance and review: Prepare and review C-corp, S-corp, partnership and individual tax returns; manage extensions, estimates and year-end planning.Financial Statements:
Oversee and review compiled financial statements; ensure accuracy, completeness and adherence to professional standards.Client advisory:
Provide proactive tax planning and consulting; communicate complex issues clearly and build long-term client relationships with direct client contact.Issue resolution:
Research and analyze tax issues; respond to notices, assist with federal and state inquiries as needed.Quality and timeliness:
Maintain high standards for workpapers, documentation and delivery and ensure on-time engagements.Team leadership:
Supervise, train and review the work of junior staff; provide coaching and feedback that supports growth and quality.Process improvement:
Recommend and implement practical process, workflow and technology enhancements that improve efficiency and consistency. What you'll bringExperience:
Minimum 4 years of recent, relevant public accounting experience with a focus on tax (required).Technical depth:
Strong knowledge of individual and business taxationCredentials:
CPA or EA preferred; strong consideration given to candidates actively pursuing licensure.Soft skills:
Clear communicator, organized project manager, collaborative teammate and calm under deadline pressure.Client focus:
