Long Beach, CA Job Details Full-time $19•$32 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Professional development assistance Paid sick time Qualifications Typing Full Job Description Overview Join our dynamic CPA office as a Bookkeeper and Tax Preparer, where your expertise will drive accurate financial record-keeping and seamless tax preparation for a diverse client base. This energetic role offers the opportunity to utilize your accounting skills in a fast-paced environment, supporting both individual and business clients. You will be preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance. Duties Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and Quicken Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Conduct account analysis and reconcile accounts through detailed journal entries and double-entry bookkeeping practices Assist in tax preparation for individuals and businesses by compiling financial data, preparing tax returns, and supporting audit processes Maintain organized records of financial transactions, supporting documentation, and client files in accordance with regulatory standards Qualifications Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and Quicken; experience with financial software integration is a plus In-depth knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, bank reconciliation procedures, and account reconciliation techniques Skilled in spreadsheets (Excel or similar), 10-key typing accuracy, and general ledger reconciliation processes Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills to collaborate with management, staff, and clients
Pay:
$19.00•$32.00 per hour
