$120,000 to $180,000 base, depending on experience. Full time, in office in Los Angeles (Encino and Westwood). Start December 1, 2026. We're building the finance department for owner run law firms, contractors and home services companies. That means monthly bookkeeping, business and personal tax returns, year round tax planning, trust account reconciliations for law firms, job costing for contractors and business planning built around what the owner actually wants. We use AI throughout the work, so our team spends its time on judgment and on clients instead of data entry. Our founder is a business owner with ten years on the owner's side of real estate, lending and operating companies. He built this company because he was the client who always wanted more from his accountant. The role You'll be our senior CPA and the person owners trust with their numbers. As we grow, you'll build and lead the team of CPAs who join under you. What you'll do Review and sign off on our clients' monthly books and their business and personal tax returns. Meet with business owners, explain their numbers in plain English and help them plan ahead. Run year round tax planning so April is never a surprise. Shape how our review process works as the company grows. Hire, train and lead the CPAs who join the team under you. What you get $120,000 to $180,000 base, depending on experience. A senior seat from day one with a clear path to leading your own team. No timesheets and no billable hour targets. Real experience using AI on client work, which is the most useful skill in the profession right now. 15 days of paid time off plus comp days after tax season, and a 401(k) once the team reaches three people. Who does well here We're a small team that moves fast and works hard. You'll talk with business owners every week, so the people who do well here are personable, like being the one owners call and have a sharp eye for detail. What we need Active California CPA license in good standing. Four or more years of public accounting with business and owner tax returns, including at least two years reviewing other preparers' work. Curious about AI, open to learning new tools and willing to use them every day. Wants to work in the office with a small team, not remote. Comfortable with the hours that come with any CPA role, including longer weeks and some weekends around tax deadlines. How we get to know each other It starts with a relaxed intro call so we can learn about you and you can ask us anything. If it feels like a fit, we'll set up a few more conversations so we both get a real feel for each other. You're choosing us as much as we're choosing you.
