Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team in helping our clients navigate the complexities of tax filing with confidence. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns while providing exceptional client service. Your expertise in tax law and prior experience will be necessary. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in public accounting, tax reporting, and client communication within a supportive, professional and energetic environment. Duties Prepare and review individual, have knowledge of corporate, and partnership tax returns while utilizing our advanced tax preparation software Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws by staying current on tax regulations and updates Gather necessary financial documents such as W-2s, 1099s, balance sheets, income statements, and other relevant records Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information, and answer questions about their filings Maintain organized records of all tax documents, reports, and correspondence for audit readiness Requirements Proven experience in tax preparation for at the last 5 years, ideally within public accounting or a similar setting with a focus on individual taxes Strong knowledge of tax law, compliance standards, and reporting requirements Proficiency with tax preparation software such as UltraTax CS or similar platforms Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or other financial management tools Solid understanding of financial concepts including bookkeeping, analysis skills, and technical accounting principles Excellent math skills with high accuracy in data entry (10 key typing proficiency) Exceptional client communication skills to explain complex tax issues clearly and professionally Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while managing multiple client files simultaneously Join us if you're passionate about a solid career in helping clients achieve their financial goals through expert tax preparation.
