Job Description

We are hiring Part Time Tax Preparers in
DARIEN, GA!
Office Based Location:
Darien, GA Minimum experience/Graduating Students/Internship is encouraged to apply for this position! To provide professional services, including but not limited to tax preparation. For example, tax preparation services shall consist of: Informing clients or employers about the tax preparation process Collecting relevant financial records, including pay stubs and income statements Inputting data from financial records into tax return software or databases Using applicable federal, state, and local tax law to determine deductions and how much each client will pay or earn on the return Preparing tax returns for individuals, corporations, and trusts, based on experience and training Completing and filing (if applicable) tax documents with appropriate agencies, like the IRS, state, and local government entities Acting as a representative for clients with applicable agencies as required Auditing account details and reconciling bank statements to determine income and expenses Building customer relationships to promote and expand the business Keeping clients abreast of the status of their tax return This role may also consist of the following: Consulting with clients to develop a basic understanding of their financial affairs and the scope of their tax liabilities (as applicable to level, training, and experience) Reviewing previous tax returns and financial documents to identify missing or incomplete information or documentation Reviewing all supplied financial information for accuracy Using the appropriate accounting software or system to prepare tax returns Calculating taxes owed or refunds due to clients; consulting tax law publications for guidance on unusual situations Submitting tax returns to senior accountant and or CPA for review Presenting approved returns to senior accountant and or CPA and or clients Maintaining an understanding and knowledge of changes in tax law by reading professional literature or attending tax seminars and training courses Performing other related duties as assigned
