Job Description

Job Overview Seeking goal-driven tax associates to be responsible for advising clients, analyzing tax data submitted by clients, and filing and submitting tax returns. Tax associates will ensure confidentiality, provide excellent service to promote repeat business, and provide future tax planning to clients. Must be knowledgeable of legislation and regulations, provide excellent service to clients, and maintain the high standard set by the organization. Must be detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills to handle correspondence from clients and tax authorities. Responsibilities Accurately prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations Analyze financial records to determine tax liabilities and deductions. Offer proactive tax planning advice to help clients optimize their financial decisions throughout the year Provide guidance on tax-related inquiries and educate clients on financial concepts. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Assist clients with bookkeeping tasks as needed, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Deliver exceptional customer service, fostering long-term relationships with clients who view you as their trusted tax expert Conduct thorough reviews of client documents for accuracy before submission. Utilize strong math skills for calculations related to tax liabilities and refunds. Engage in marketing efforts to attract new clients through effective communication and sales strategies. Requirements Proven experience in tax preparation is preferred, but not mandatory Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally Must ensure confidentiality. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively. Experience in public accounting or bookkeeping is a plus. Basic computer skills. Must have a Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
