Life:
As a seasonal tax reviewer, you will review tax returns for a diverse client base. This position runs from approximately January through mid-April.
Responsibilities may include:
Review tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws Verify supporting documentation, schedules, and calculations to ensure consistency and accuracy Identify and resolve errors, discrepancies, or missing information before final submission Provide effective feedback and guidance to preparers for corrections or improvements Stay current with tax law changes and apply updates during reviews Collaborate with tax preparers and team members to meet client expectations and firm deadlines Ensure returns are filed timely and in accordance with firm policies and quality standards Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive client information This Role may be for you if you have strong attention to detail and enjoy spotting errors or inconsistencies while managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment!
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA preferred 5+ years of prior experience in tax preparation and review Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs Proficiency with tax software
