Tax is looking for a Junior Tax Preparer who is eager to grow, contribute to a high-standard tax team, and build real experience in thoughtful, ethical tax preparation. This role is designed for someone early in their tax career who wants more than seasonal work, is excited to learn through hands-on experience, guidance, and feedback, and is a detail-driven, proactive problem-solver. You'll work closely with senior tax professionals and firm leadership to prepare individual and business returns, review client documents thoroughly, and assist with tax planning and strategy work. While you won't be expected to know everything on day one, you will be expected to slow down, pay attention to details, ask questions, and continually improve the quality of your work. Not more, not less Year-round client support, not seasonal chaos Clear systems, high standards, and calm execution Who This Role Is For You may be a great fit if: You're hungry to learn and improve with every return You are self-directed You are solutions-oriented You may not get everything right at first but learn quickly and applies feedback You're detail-driven You're a proactive problem-solver You have a background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field You're quality-focused You have up to 2 years of experience preparing tax returns or working in a tax-related role You take accountability seriously You are not yet a CPA , but are working toward your CPA or EA (or plan to) You are eager to gain experience preparing returns and assisting with tax planning You believe the tax code should be used ethically and intelligently to benefit clients You care more about helping clients make smart decisions than blindly defaulting to overpayment You enjoy learning by doing and steadily improving your technical skills What You'll Do As a Junior Tax Preparer , you'll work closely with senior tax professionals and firm leadership to build strong fundamentals while gaining real-world experience. Tax Preparation & Skill Development Prepare individual and business tax returns under guidance Review all client documents thoroughly line by line, page by page Ask questions, flag inconsistencies, and seek clarity when something doesn't look right Assist with tax planning and strategy work Learn to identify potential issues, missed opportunities, and improvement areas Continually improve accuracy, efficiency, and confidence Team & Client Support Communicate clearly with internal team members Support clients throughout the year, not just during tax season Participate in training, reviews, and feedback sessions Follow firm systems while learning why we do things the way we do What We Value Integrity
